OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 April 2009 was announced, that the first kindergarten designed to accommodate both healthy and physically challenged children is to be opened in central Moscow.

According to the official site of the Moscow City Government, 1,325 disabled children are provided with various types of social support in the central administrative district of the Russian capital. More than 94 per cent of such children go to the educational institutions included in Moscow’s Educational System and only 4 per cent of them are accommodated in the asylums.

The rest 2 per cent of physically challenged children are brought up by their parents at home as a level of their health doesn’t allow them to be educated at the state institutions.

From now on the disabled children can get a competent assistance in the new-built preschool.
