OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2009.  The two-day seminar in the Turkmen capital focuses on the study of international judicial practice. The forum organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under President of Turkmenistan and the project of the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) Support of Legal and Judicial Reform in Central Asia brought together the specialists of the judicial bodies of the country. The judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan had been invited to the seminar as international experts.

The aspects of inheritance law in the notarial and judicial practices, the innovations in administrating civil proceedings and family law, professional ethics are put on the seminar agenda.

The seminar participants noted that the major aspects of the ongoing legal reform in Turkmenistan included the study of the best international practices of law making and enforcement and implementation of the universally recognized norms and standards in the national legislation. In this context the seminar participants unanimously called for maintaining the constructive dialogue in the field of legislative activity including a wide exchange of experiences and information.
