OREANDA-NEWS. On July 13, 2009 The Committee on Public Health recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Baby Food" (re Enhancement of Requirements for the Production and Turnover of Foodstuffs) as a Basis, reported the Official website portal.rada.gov.ua.
 
The Bill (Reg. No.4584) enhances requirements for the production and turnover of baby food.  Thus, it introduces amendments and supplements to the effective Law appertaining to the requirements for the production of baby food and feedstock used in the production.
 
The Bill prohibits the following activities: use of feedstock grown beyond the special feedstock areas during the production of baby food; performance of any activity that can pollute the environment in such areas (at present, only construction of industrial and other chemical objects that bear negative influence on the agro-climatic and environmental conditions is prohibited).   
 
Pursuant to the Bill, production of baby food shall be performed only on the industrial basis at the specialized enterprises, departments (or at the specialized technological lines).
