OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2009. Kazakhstan’s minister for emergency situations Vladimir Bojko is in Baku at present. Today he met with Kamaladdin Heydarov, Azerbaijani minister for emergency situations.

Following the results of negotiations V.Bojko stated on importance of cooperation with Azerbaijan in prevention of emergency situations, emerging upon oil production.

"Our countries are rich in oil, and this fact has not only a positive side, many problems emerge during the oil production. Measures to keep biological resources and purity of the Caspian Sea,” Bojko said.

In a number of general problems he also named liquidation of consequences of mud flows and earthquakes as well as protection of citizens’ property.

"In the case of emerging technogenic problems in our region we will assist each other. I believe that we will obtain more and more experience by developing  our cooperation,” V.Bojko emphasized.
