OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2009. The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine" (re Authorities of the Central Election Commission regarding Organization and Holding of the Presidential Elections in Ukraine) as a Basis.

The Bill (Reg. No. 5388) amends the Code of Administrative Legal Proceedings, and the Laws "On the Central Election Commission", "On Elections of the President of Ukraine", "On Elections of the Peopleґs Deputies of Ukraine" to eliminate legal inconsistencies caused by adoption of the Law "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Elections of the President of Ukraine "of 21 August 2009.    

Pursuant to the Bill, "the High Administrative Court of Ukraine shall scrutinize appeals against the resolutions, activity or passivity of the Central Election Commission regarding assessment of the outcome of election".  Moreover, "Kyiv Administrative Court of Appeal shall further scrutinize all other resolutions, activity or passivity of the Central Election Commission and its members".
