OREANDA-NEWS. Chinese authorities introduce restrictions on the operation of a number of American media on its territory in retaliation for Washington’s actions.

This was announced on July 1 by Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Zhao Lijian. “Recently, the government of the United States of America has applied restrictions on the Chinese media working on their territory,” the diplomat said. According to him, in response, the Chinese side is also forced to tighten the rules of work for a number of American media.

Zhao Lijian added that Beijing requires the news agencies Associated Press, United Press International, CBS, National Public Radio to provide the Chinese side with information about all employees working in the People’s Republic of China, financial and other activities within seven days.
