OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the meeting of the board of the Federal Security Service (FSB), instructed to actively cleanse strategically important sectors of the economy from crime.

In addition, the head of state said that the rights of citizens and business entities should be respected, and information on violation of the rights of entrepreneurs by supervisory authorities should be responded “not formally, but in fact”.

The President stressed that one of the priorities in the activities of the FSB should remain ensuring economic security and combating corruption. He called for the use of experience in identifying criminal schemes in the financial and tax spheres, in the fuel and energy sector and in defense industry. He also instructed to control the spending of budget funds on national projects, but at the same time not to impede the work of state bodies and business corporations.
